Course Details　

The following curriculum is designed for beginners. If you have prior experience, we will adjust the content accordingly. We will respond flexibly to your needs so that you can achieve your goals.

以下は書道の経験がない方のカリキュラムになります。経験のある方は考慮して内容を決めさせて頂きます。

Month 1 １ヶ月目	Students will learn about the characters used in Japanese writing, including hiragana, katakana, and kanji. This includes studying proper stroke order and writing techniques. Additionally, students will deepen their understanding of the historical background, including how Chinese characters were introduced to Japan and became integrated into Japanese writing. 日本で使われる文字を勉強します。ひらがな、カタカナ、漢字の書き方、筆順を学びます。 歴史（中国の文字が日本に伝来して浸透していった経緯）に関する知識も深めて頂きます。
Months 2–4 2～4ヶ月目	Students will focus on brush calligraphy, practicing different writing styles such as kaisho (standard script), gyōsho (semi-cursive script), and sōsho (cursive script). 毛筆書道を勉強する期間。楷書・行書・草書の書き方などを学びます。
Months 5–6 5～6カ月	Practical calligraphy will be introduced, incorporating the use of finer brushes. Students will continue practicing to solidify their skills from the first four months. Those who wish to obtain a calligraphy rank may begin the certification process. 細い筆も加えて実用書を学んでいきます。 １ヶ月目～４ヶ月目で学んだことをより定着させていくために練習を継続します。希望者は段級取得をスタートすることができます。
Months 7–9 ７～９ヶ月	Students will start working on large-format calligraphy (jōfuku size). They will continue refining the skills learned in previous months while gaining experience with larger-scale works. 条幅サイズ（大きいサイズの書道作品）の練習を始めます。これまで学んだことも引き続き継続して練習します。
Months 10–12 10～12ヶ月	Students will begin creating their own calligraphy pieces and work on completing them. This period serves as the culmination of their learning, combining the skills acquired throughout the course. 自分自身の作品作りを開始し仕上げていきます。これまで学んだことと作品作りを並行して集大成をむかえます。

What You Need to Bring　

Nothing in particular! Our school offers a convenient, hassle-free system where you can attend lessons empty-handed.
特にありません。当院は手ぶらで通えるとても便利なシステムです。

We provide all necessary materials in the classroom, including:
①Calligraphy paper, ②Paperweight, ③Inkstone, ④Underlay sheet, ⑤Ink
Since everything is available in the classroom, there are no additional costs for practice sessions held at our facility.
If you wish to practice at home, you can purchase a complete set (items ①–⑤) for 5,500 yen (tax included). Additional calligraphy paper can be purchased as needed.

Each student must purchase their own brush instead of sharing. These will be kept at the classroom for your use.
Large brush: 2,500 yen (tax included)　Small brush: 1,500 yen (tax included)

全て教室に備えつけていますので手ぶらで通って頂けます。教室でお稽古する際の追加費用はありません。
自宅で練習したい方は①～⑤のセットを5500円（税込）で購入できます。半紙は随時必要な枚数をご購入ください。

小筆、大筆は使い回しはせず個人の筆としてご購入頂き教室で保管します。

※This fee applies whether you apply from within Japan or from overseas.
※We will discuss the payment method based on your preference.

Credit card payments are available.
If additional documents such as a Tax Certificate (Non-Taxation Certificate) are required depending on the circumstances, actual expenses may be charged separately in addition to the above fees.

Please decide your desired period of stay at the beginning. For example, if you request a one-year stay and are granted a one-year period of residence upon entry, but later wish to extend your stay while in Japan, you will need to apply for an extension of your period of stay. In that case, an additional visa application fee of JPY 132,000 will be required when extending your stay.

※In the case of credit card payment, we will only charge the actual fee of the credit card company.

※納付方法はご希望をお聞きし、決めさせて頂きます。
クレジット決済も可能です。

※状況によっては非課税証明書などが必要になった場合、上記費用に別途実費必要になることがございます。
※希望の期間は最初にお決め下さい。例えば1年を希望され入国時付与された在留期間が1年、日本滞在中に更に期間を延ばすことを希望される場合、在留期間更新手続きが必要となります。そのため、さらに滞在期間を延長する際に、ビザ申請費用として別途132,000円が必要になります

Long-Term Course
長期コース

Recommended for those who want to study calligraphy in depth. You can choose a duration that suits you, such as 3 months, 6 months, or more than 1 year. If needed, you can extend your course during your stay. For stays longer than 3 months, a visa is required.

書道を本格的に学びたい方にオススメ。3か月、6か月、1年以上など、ご希望の期間をお選び頂けます。滞在期間中に期間を追加することも可能です。3か月より長期滞在になる場合はビザが必要になります。

＊Students who complete the full curriculum will receive a certificate of completion from the Bokurei Calligraphy Association.
A minimum of four classes per week (a total of 12 classes per month, based on 4 classes per week for 3 weeks) is required.
The tuition fees listed above apply to the 4-class-per-week course.
You can adjust the number of classes each month. If you choose to take 5 classes per week, an additional 10,000 yen (tax included) per month will apply. For 6 classes per week, the additional fee will be 12,000 yen (tax included) per month.

＊全てのカリキュラムを修了した生徒には睦麗書道会より認定証をお渡ししております。
最低週4回以上（4回×3週 12回）の受講が必要になります。
上記は週4回コースの授業料です。
毎月回数は変更することができます。週5回コースは追加10000円（税込）/月、週6回は追加12000円（税込）/月でご受講頂けます。

Short-Term Course
短期コース

The Short-Term Course (1-month and 3-month options) does not require the “Pre-Application Fee for Cultural Visa.” Since you can stay in Japan for up to 90 days without a cultural visa, you only need to pay the tuition fees to enroll. This course is ideal for those interested in calligraphy who want to start with a short-term learning experience.

短期コース（１ヶ月コース、３ヶ月コース）は「文化ビザ申請前に必要な費用」は不要です。
最大90日まで文化ビザ無しで日本に滞在することができるので、授業料のみで受講頂けます。
書道に興味があるけれどまずは短期で学んでみたいという方におすすめ。
